No other precipitation is in the forecast into early next week.

A wet and warm day. Temperatures will make a run at the records (which were set previous year in both Boston and Worcester).

SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy skies develop, with overnight low temperatures around 8 degrees.

The combination of very mild temperatures and some torrential downpours will cause widespread urban/street flooding. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches combined with snow melt and possible ice jams may result in localized flooding. Northwest wind 10 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 20 miles per hour.

Saturday morning into early afternoon, however, that rain could turn into freezing rain and sleet. "Saturday looks to be pretty chilly, but Sunday's supposed to feature a warm-up with highs going back into the low 30s".

The next few days will be a weather roller coaster for Upstate New York, with the potential for everything from flooding to fog to heavy snow.

California mudslides: Evacuation zones expanded as searches continue
Torrential rainfall contributed to damaging mudslides and flooding in Southern California on Tuesday. The number of people missing after the deadly mudslides in Montecito, California, has surged to 48.

Friday's forecast calls for a 100 percent chance of rain with thunderstorms also possible after 10 a.m. Even if there isn't any precipitation, any standing water will freeze solid later on Saturday.

Sunday's high is projected only to get into the low 20s.

The mercury could fall as low as 14 degrees overnight, the weather service said.

The cold that arrives on Saturday will stick around a while (again).

This morning will be one of the warmer days we've seen in almost a month.

Then, we will be watching for a potential snow storm around the middle of next week, stay tuned for more on that! One of the major concerns for many is that the drains are clogged, which causes flooding on roadways. So far, the 105 year old record of 57 was broken at Noon, by 1 degree (the temp could go higher) for the Greater Hartford area.
