James Cameron addresses Eliza Dushku's claim True Lies stunt coordinator molested her

Actress Eliza Dushku posted a lengthy item on Facebook on Friday in which she described how she was allegedly sexually assaulted when she was 12 years old by stunt coordinator Joel Kramer.

The actress says she was filming "True Lies" when the 36-year-old stunt coordinator singled her out and lured her to hotel room in Miami. telling her parents he was taking her to the hotel for a swim.

"This is all vile lies", Kramer, 60, told Us, denying that he was alone in a hotel room or taxi with her, as she alleged.

"Eliza is very fearless for speaking up", Cameron said Saturday during his appearance at the Television Critics Association press tour to promote his AMC series "James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction". I haven't given a lot of thought to the specific situation today - I just heard about it, but obviously Eliza is very courageous for speaking up.

"I think she has just ruined my career ... what's left of it", he said, adding that he "never ever did anything like that to her".

Dushku, then 12, said she was acting in True Lies - in which she played Arnold Schwarzenegger's daughter - when she experienced the harrowing alleged ordeal.

She also claimed Kramer had put her "on his lap" during a taxi ride afterwards and how he "grew aroused again", and reported that she was injured during a subsequent "stunt-gone-wrong" being overseen by him and suffered "broken ribs" as a result. Anyone that might be a predator or an abuser knows that mechanism is there and that it's encouraged and that there's no shame around it and there will be consequences.

The string of allegations against influential men in Hollywood continues into 2018, with the latest bombshell claim coming in the form of a Facebook post this week by actress Eliza Dushku. "I guess I'll have to get a lawyer and file a lawsuit against her for defamation and slander".

"I think we all collectively as a human race - I don't think this is a Hollywood; Hollywood is in a unique position to actually shine spotlight, as Hollywood has historically done on a lot of social issues".

The 37-year-old took to Facebook today and said she struggled to reveal the incident because of its bad nature.
