Some customers suspected the company slowed older iPhones to encourage customers to upgrade. Since news emerged in late past year that Apple does slow down some older iPhones' processors in order to prevent unexpected shutdowns, the company has been swamped with bad press and class-action lawsuits from customers who took the move as a confirmation of "planned obsolescence".

As per a post made on its website on Thursday, Apple expressed its apology over the overall handling of the battery issue and admitted that it would soon make many changes for the customers so that they can understand their loyalty and simultaneously regain everyone's trust whosoever may have doubted Apple's intentions.
