He was 27 years old. Texas MC Maxo Kream was among the first to post about Santana's passing, writing, "Damn man I'm lost for words right now I'm cryin my ass off Fredo I love yu Bitch RIP a real Savage".

Chicago rapper Fredo Santana died Friday night, January 19 as the result of a seizure. Here are five things you should know about the late Chicago-based artist in the wake of his tragic death.

The site reports that Santana was found in his Los Angeles home by his girlfriend at 11:30 p.m. yesterday evening (January 19).

Back in October, Santana shared with his loyal followers on Instagram that he was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with both kidney and liver failure. "Thanks for everyone who prayed for a nigga I wouldn't wish this on my worse enemy". The rapper has also talked openly about having an addiction to lean, which may have contributed to his health issues.
