Chelsea recruit reveals the driving force behind his exit from former club

Paris - Olivier Giroud revealed on Sunday his move from Arsenal to Chelsea was motivated by a Soccer World Cup warning from France coach Didier Deschamps.

And with the World Cup in Russian Federation on the horizon, Giroud revealed that French manager Didier Deschamps urged him to change clubs to get some valuable game time.

Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud spurned interest from Roma, Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund in order to join the defending Premier League champions and work with Antonio Conte, the France worldwide has confirmed.

Chelsea's new hitman has acknowledged that Aubameyang's arrival would have reduced his playing time even more if he stayed at Arsenal and admits he is unhappy with the events that led to his exit. "But he encouraged me to change clubs", he said.
