This has led to Apple increasing the price of the iPhones by an average margin of 3%.

As a number of reports indicated last week, Apple is allegedly focusing on performance and reliability improvements in the next version of its mobile operating system, iOS 12, rather than dumping in a ton of new features.

This is the 4th instance of component replacement program for Apple iPhones, and the models eligible are: A1660 China, Hong Kong, Macao, US, A1780 China, A1779 Japan. If the iPhone X is in a pocket, those sensors prevent the touchscreen from turning on so as to avoid inadvertent presses. There is also an increase in the prices of the Apple Watch Series 3 Global Positioning System. The information is printed on the back of the device underneath the main iPhone branding.

In case these two events are related, Apple may have jumped the gun and increased their prices a bit early. There was still a hurdle though with the 30% domestic sourcing clause, which mandates foreign companies to source at least 30% of their product locally.

Last, the iPhone X 64GB will now cost Rs 95,390 and the iPhone X 256GB will cost Rs 1,08,930.
