Xiaomi Schedules Launch Event on February 14 in India, Redmi 5 Expected

The launch teaser of the first 2018 device for India does not clearly mention whether the company will be launching Redmi 5 Plus or Redmi Note 5 smartphone on February 14.

The Chinese smartphone maker has started to send out invites for the launch of its new phone under the Redmi series.

Originally introduced in December, 2017, Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus are the company's successor to the popular Redmi 4 phones.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is also boarding the dual camera train with the renders showing two cameras vertically stacked on the rear panel, just above the fingerprint sensor. The Redmi 5 comes with a price tag of RM 679 (approximately Rs 11,200) and Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, on the other hand, is priced at RM 749 ( approximately Rs 12,360).
