A man in Florida claims that one of his Apple AirPods began smoking and later exploded.

Jason Colon from Tampa, Florida, said he was listening to music while he was at the gym when he saw white smoke coming out of the earphones.

The problem with wireless headphones is that they need constant recharging due to the fact that they run on batteries. The report claims that Colon was at the gym working out when his right AirPod started "billowing" smoke.

He promptly took both AirPods out and set them on a bit of rec center hardware while he looked for help, however when he restored, the AirPod being referred to was roasted and broken separated.

When did women get the vote in these 7 countries?
Of course, we must celebrate the changes we have seen in the 100 years since the first British women were able to vote. The fight for women's suffrage was led by bold, fierce women like Emmeline Pankhurst, who gave her life for the cause.

Russia meddled in US election, George W. Bush says

Apple's AirPods are a one of a kind device, featuring advanced technology that no other company is now offering. "You can see fire harm", he told WFLA. You can't even imagine the damage that it could have caused Mr. Colon is the AirPods would have popped in while still in his ears. He further stated that "I don't know what would've happened to my ear". That aside, we can only hope that this is the only instance we ever hear of AirPods exploding. "But I'm sure since it hangs down, it could've been [my] ear lobe".

Earlier the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was in news for the same reasons of battery explosions leaving the users concerned about their safety using mobile devices. This is the first time we've heard of AirPods exploding, so it doesn't appear to be a widespread issue that would warrant a recall.

Colon thinks it was faulty battery. Apple has reportedly reached out to Colon to figure out what happened and will likely issue a public statement in the not-too-distant future.
