Idris Elba proposes to girlfriend at screening of his new film Yardie

Audience members also confirmed the news on Twitter, with one writing, "At cast & crew screening of @YARDIES & @IdrisElba just proposed to his girlfriend Sabrina!".

Another movie-goer, David Marsden, blessed us with the video as well that shows Elba getting down on one knee as Dhowre looks surprised and flustered.

They posted a picture of Idris Elba with the caption, "Another @riocinema first!"
