The Spring League touts itself as an "elite developmental league and scouting event for professional football talent" with the ultimate goal of having those athletes play in the NFL.

Manziel will play for the Spring League South team, with games on April 7 and April 14.

Manziel said he is thankful for the opportunity to play. Last year, 10 National Football League teams attended the showcase, and 11 players were signed by National Football League or CFL teams.

In 15 career National Football League games with the Cleveland Browns, Manziel's thrown for 1,675 yards and seven touchdowns against seven interceptions.

Manziel admitted earlier this week that he is addressing the issues that have derailed his playing career and plagued his life, including bipolar disorder.

Manziel announced on his Twitter page Wednesday morning that he was joining The Spring League. One of the other key names to watch for 2018 along with Manziel is Lorenzo Taliaferro, a running back who played for the Baltimore Ravens from 2014 to 2016, scoring five total touchdowns and rushing for 339 yards.

Apple shifts approach on feature development, report says
This feature is targeted to begin public runs in iOS 12 and macOS 10.14 with Apple's own Home app being one of the big test beds. The change is said to have been introduced in response to a perceived drop in quality over Apple's recent software releases.

Manziel recently told several media outlets that he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder about a year ago and has been taking the proper medication while cutting booze out of his life. "We believe our platform is the ideal forum for Mr. Manziel to enact his National Football League comeback".

Manziel will be by far the most high-profile player now lined up for the Spring League, which is based in Austin, Texas - right in the heart of Longhorn country.

"But at the end of the day when you wake up the next day after a night like that, or after going on a trip like that, and that's all gone?"

Manziel's comeback journey included an offer from the Canadian Football League's Hamilton Tiger-Cats, but a January 31 deadline for the sides to strike a deal passed without an agreement.

Manziel had earned a reputation of partying often before he got to Cleveland, and it only escalated before he eventually found himself in trouble with the law, too.

At the Reese's Senior Bowl in January, Mayfield said people try to characterize him as another bad boy Johnny Manziel, but he doesn't pay attention to it, according to ESPN.
