Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed Gabriel Jesus has returned to full training but he is unlikely to face Wigan in the FA Cup on Monday.

Guardiola, who was speaking to media at a press conference to preview Monday's FA Cup fifth-round trip to Wigan, was unwilling to respond to remarks criticising City from Leicester counterpart Claude Puel this week. Bournemouth are one of the teams I like to watch the most in the Premier League and they were able to beat them.

The Citizens next test is away to League One leaders Wigan, as they look to avenge their defeats to the Latics in the 2013 final and 2014 quarter-final. I think that is the important thing for that game.

There were hopes the 20-year might have been fit to play in Tuesday's Champions League game at Basel but, although that did not transpire, the player is making progress.

"It would be good for my players not to think too much of the [Carabao Cup] final next Sunday, they think about the final next Monday".

Guardiola said he has not decided on his line-up against Wigan.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah sends HUGE goalscoring promise to Reds fans
Conceding goals seems to be Liverpool's biggest issue, with the Reds letting in 31 this term, the highest amount in the top-five. I think everyone knew he was a good player, but to get where he is at the speed he's done - it's frightening.

"I think the disappointment is half the joy of winning - because if you can't accept the disappointment, then the enjoyment isn't as enjoyable as it could be".

Claudio Bravo could feature in goal for City.

Guardiola could also make changes to his back line with all four senior centre-backs - Nicolas Otamendi, Vincent Kompany, John Stones and record signing Aymeric Laporte - fit and available.

Jesus has been sidelined since suffering knee ligament damage against Crystal Palace on New Year's Eve, but began training with his team-mates on Friday.

Meanwhile, it looks like Gabriel Jesus could be back sooner than it was initially reported with the Brazilian taking unbelievable strides towards his recovery.
