Google has been testing a screenshot tool built straight into its Google app for almost the past year, and soon, the feature is finally going to become available to a worldwide audience. Users who already have Android Pay installed on their devices should get an option to update it to Google Pay. Google objective is that users have a consistent checkout experience using the cards saved in Google Account. Since you're often operating the dialer with one hand, it makes sense t have buttons at the bottom where they're more easily accessed. But in today's market, where Venmo and the gig economy are demonstrating the value of personal payments, Google realized a need to bring P-to-P back. That means that users who bank with Bank of America in the US or a Google partner like Mbank in Poland, you can set up Google Pay right from your bank's app without having to even install Google Pay.

"Within the next few months", the rebranded mobile payment service will gradually make its way across the U.S. and United Kingdom, while the Wallet app is now technically called Google Pay Send... for some reason.

Google has also announced that Google Pay can now be used to pay for transit in Kiev, London and Portland. Recognising this differentiation was unnecessary, Google's now replacing the apps with the single "Google Pay" brand. Say goodbye to Android Pay, because mention of it has been wiped from the Play Store and - once you update the app - from your phone as well.

Longtime Android Pay fans, fear not: the features you love aren't going away. The Google Wallet app is changing to 'Google Pay Send, ' which seems like an overcomplication, but oh well. It also puts everything you need to make a purchase at your fingertips. According to Google, Google Pay is not working with iPhones.

"The [Google Pay] app, which begins rolling out today, is just one part of everything we've got planned", Gerardo Capiel and Varouj Chitilian, executives at Google's Consumer Payments division, wrote in a blog post.
