Arlington Teens Arrested For Making School Shooting Threats

A student at North Medford High School in MA has been reportedly arrested after the Medford Police Department was informed of a threat written on a bathroom stall.

Schools in the United States are on edge in the wake of the Florida shooting, as students have made numerous copycat threats on the Web.

In every instance, police and school officials have said each threat is being taken seriously and thoroughly investigated.

At this time, police say they're still following up on further leads regarding the investigation into the threats made.

Sunday said if extra precautions are needed for the threat, such as an evacuation, the penalty can increase.

In Norfolk, detectives arrested a 14-year-old student who is accused of threatening to shoot classmates. Many concerned parents reached out to the school, prompting district officials to notify parents of the situation. Now the sheriff's office and other law enforcement agencies are investigating the emailed threat.

According to Williams' arrest affidavit, officers found a.40-caliber Taurus semi-automatic weapon behind a dictionary in a classroom. He is charged with second-degree terroristic threatening.

According to a release by the City of Norfolk, the threat was posted on social media. The school was searched and no explosive devices were found.
