It all happened in Atlanta, Georgia, where an Uber Eats driver allegedly shot a customer multiple times during a food delivery.

Thornton exited the apartment and exchanged a few words with Bivines before the fatal shooting, witnesses told investigators after the incident.

Police said words may have been exchanged, and that's when shots were fired from the delivery vehicle.

When medics arrived to the scene, they transported Thornton to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The alleged shooter was still on the run from police early this morning. Atlanta police said in a statement they had a warrant charging 36-year-old Robert Bivines with felony murder.

Bivines' attorney, Jackie Patterson, told WSB-TV his client "had no choice but to defend himself" when the man became irate and aggressive over his order.
