This was something we had heard about for a while.

"Each time a map concludes during a live broadcast, eligible viewers will earn a League Token", reads the announcement. "Overwatch League Cheering is part of a larger partnership between Twitch and Overwatch League that supports the League and players as a whole", a Twitch representative told Dot Esports.

Overwatch League Cheering is a feature unique to Twitch that allows fans to unlock in-game skins, exclusive emotes and team-themed items while encouraging their favorite teams and players by Cheering with Bits, a virtual item offered by Twitch.

In addition to giving tokens away, viewers can now unlock loot by Cheering with Bits on Twitch.

Blizzard has officially announced that you can earn Overwatch League tokens by just watching the Overwatch League.

This is just the beginning, with Twitch also teasing a VIP ticket feature to be implemeted later in the season.
