Honor 7C With Snapdragon 450 SoC and Android Oreo Goes Official

Huawei's Honor brand has launched the Honor 7C in China and the smartphone comes with a number of surprises. The smartphone comes with the price tag of 899 Yuan ($142/ Rs 9,235 approx.) for the 3GB RAM variant and 4GB RAM variant is priced at 1,299 Yuan ($205/ Rs 13,345 approx.). Despite being a budget offering, it comes with an impressive set of specifications and features. Honor has announced two different variants of this smartphone with 3GB and 4GB of RAM with 32GB and 64GB of Internal Storage Memory options. Late past year, Honor brought the trend of minimal bezel screen with 18:9 aspect ratio to its mid-range smartphones, starting with the Honor 7X. The smartphone will be available in China... Both the cameras come with a number of different types of modes for the ideal photography experience. There is no word yet on Honor 7C's global availability.

Under the hood, the smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset which has a 1.8GHz octa-core CPU paired with an Adreno 506 GPU.

Huawei Honor 7C features a 5.99-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display, with a 2.5D curved glass on top.

The Honor 7C will be coming with a dedicated MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. There are two camera sensors on the rear - one regular 13-megapixel lens and another 2-megapixel one for helping the phone produce relatively more natural depth-of-field effects.

The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and has the Huawei Emotion UI 8.0 (EMUI) user interface. Design-wise, the camera is located on the top left corner and is aligned horizontally with an LED flash on the inner edge.

Just last weekend, the Honor 7C was teased in a video ad ahead of the official launch.
