EPMD's Erick Sermon tweeted that he was just finishing up an album with Mack. "Rest in Power Craig..." Mack - yeah, his real name is "Craig Mack" - was apparently suffering from a fatal and chronic heart condition.

The Long Island, N.Y. rapper was known for being a lyrical spitfire delivering clever punchlines and braggdocios rhymes during his brief tenure on Bad Boy. Biz Markie wrote: "R.I.P TO MY MAIN MAN CRAIG MACK ANOTHER GREAT ONE GONE".

Maybe that machine chewed Mack up and spit him out. He also released a third album, The Mack World Sessions past year.

Rapper Biz Markie also paid tribute, saying, "He had two ideal singles and the platonic rap remix". That's more than most. It was a throwback to the intro where Mo Bee tells Mack to "kick that old robotic, futuristic, George Jetson insane joint!"
