Putin records landslide victory in Russia's presidential poll
Turnout-boosting efforts have been the most visible feature of the campaign - and all come from taxpayers' pockets. Russian voters are gearing up for a presidential election Sunday that Vladimir Putin is guaranteed to win.

When asked if she would be granted parole on Tuesday itself, he replied, "We have to see". Jayalalithaa, then chief minister, was accused of illegally acquiring wealth to the tune of Rs 66.5 crores.

Natarajan underwent a kidney transplant in 2017. The parole was granted on the condition that she would not be involved in any political, public or party activities. She is also the aunt of AIADMK's sidelined leader TTV Dhinakaran. "Sasikala is my best friend and nearly like a sister and Natarajan happened to be her husband", Jayalalithaa said.

Natarajan's body was taken at around 1 pm to his native town Vilar near Thanjavur and would be cremated. He along with his wife Sasikala used to stay along with Jayalalithaa in her house. Though Jayalalithaa expelled Sasikala, her close aide, she later re-inducted her.

In the 1980s, when Natarajan was the public relations officer in Cuddalore district, Sasikala got a contract to film Jayalalithaa's programmes. "This is in view of her husband's death", Somashekhar said.
