Liverpool fans flocked to Facebook to cast their thoughts on the Roma stopper, as one wrote: "He is one of, if not the best keeper in Serie A and he is keeping Ederson out of the Brazil team".

Real Madrid have reportedly made contact with the representatives of AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker and are said to be preparing a €60 million (£52 million) bid for the rumoured Liverpool target.

The Brazil global has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid with the Merengues that are reportedly ready to put € 60 million on the table to welcome the services of the talented goalkeeper.

Roma will play Barcelona in the last eight of the Champions League.

Roma, though, are reluctant to sell their prized asset and are keen to sign him to a new deal.

However, AS Roma chief Gandini is adamant that the Italian club aren't interested in selling Alisson at the end of the season.
