Players will now have the option to link their Discord account to their Xbox account, allowing you to see what games your friends are playing no matter whether they're on PC or Xbox. Players will then have the ability to choose whether or not to continue playing on different platforms or to join one of their friends from a Discord server instead.

An upcoming update for the Xbox One has shown that Microsoft is adding in PC and Xbox One Discord support, allowing users of that chat client to be able to use it while they're playing on either of those consoles and linking their Xbox Live accounts to their Discord accounts. From the Account Setting menu, a new Discord option will appear in the "Linked social accounts" area. In other words, Discord voice chat and Xbox Live party chat won't be connected. When you receive your unique code from Xbox, open the Discord app and insert the code into the Connections tab. While there isn't an exact release date, Xbox Insiders will start seeing the option very soon, and it should be rolled out to everyone within a few weeks. You'll be asked to enable permission and when you do your two accounts will be linked. Your Xbox Live game presence can then be shared to your friends over Discord.
