It will stay warm ahead of the front, with highs in the 80s and 90s in central Kansas, and cooler behind the front, in the 60s and 70s for the northwest.

Tonight, the low will be around 67 with mostly cloudy skies and a south southwest wind of 6 to 11 miles per hour, changing to light southwest after midnight, according to the weather service. Monday will be warmer around 80° with partly sunny skies and a stray chance of an afternoon shower or storm. We will have a line of strong to severe thunderstorms moving through during the afternoon. As that boundary shifts south, rain chances will linger into Tuesday morning before clearing out. Highs in the mid 80s under a mix of sun and clouds. A slow-moving upper-level disturbance is expected to bring unsettled weather to the region late Monday into next weekend. Another round of showers and thunderstorms will develop around 5 p.m. but the worst looks like it will stay south of the lower Hudson Valley.

Chances of showers continue through the forecast, but this time it'll be a different beast. East winds will gust as high as 25 miles per hour. We'll have a break in the rain early this evening and after the sunset, but more storms will fire off late tonight.

We will see a mostly clear sky, with the exception of a few high clouds. High temperatures both days will reach the lower and middle 70s.
