A dragon float from the movie Maleficent caught fire at Disney World's Magic Kingdom Friday afternoon.

The fire was quickly extinguished and the area clear, a Disney World spokesperson told the Orlando Sentinel.

Onlookers couldn't believe their eyes when a float of the "Sleeping Beauty" villain, Maleficent, shockingly malfunctioned and caught fire during the Festival of Fantasy parade on May 11. Later, parts of its head piece appear to flake off and fall to the street.

"It's all kicking off at the Magic Kingdom!" The dragon, which has a steampunk-looking design, was then brought backstage with smokes still blowing out of its head.
