The deadly explosion that killed one woman and injured three others at an office building in the US state of California was not an accident, said authorities on Wednesday.

Formal identification of the body was continuing but authorities believe it was Ildiko Krajnyak (IL-di-koh KRY-nyak), a licensed cosmetologist, who owned the spa. The business is on the first floor of the building.

In the early morning hours Wednesday, FBI investigators began searching a home in Trabuco Canyon were Krajnyak was believed to have been living with her estranged husband. Officials said other potential causes such as a gas leak have been ruled out. "Although the damage was extensive, there are some components that we have located at the scene of the explosion that are inconsistent with what one might expect to find at this business".

Anyone with information about the case is urged to call the FBI's tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

A CBS2 helicopter also captured footage of Federal Bureau of Investigation agents Wednesday serving a warrant on a home on East El Paseo Street in Long Beach.

Evidence at the scene suggested the material in the explosive was not consistent with items found at a day spa, according to Barnes. "At this time, our family and friends would like to privately mourn a mother, a wife, a daughter and a friend".

Orange County Fire Authority Chief Brian Fennessy says 70 firefighters were dispatched in response to a 1:09 p.m. Tuesday call from Aliso Viejo. Neighbors said Krajnyak-Vestil worked as an aesthetician at the medical office building on 11 Mareblu, where the blast occurred Tuesday.

Sheriff's deputies snapped photos of vehicles that were leaving the scene throughout the afternoon.

They believe the victim was in close proximity to the explosion, while the three others who were injured were likely near her at the time.

Authorities say one person is dead and two others have injuries after an explosion rocked a Southern California office building. None of these children were hurt.

Video from the scene showed teachers leading the children along a sidewalk toward the Target. Surrounding areas, including a nearby preschool, were evacuated.

"Then everyone started running out of buildings everywhere with looks on their faces of just horror", the woman said.

One woman, who had skin peeling on her arm from burns, said, "Take care of my mother", McWilliams said. Area residents said the flurry of activity has come as a shock to them. Both are expected to survive, Barnes said.

But that information was also revised during the course of the investigation. It is unclear how the threat was conveyed, the source said.

As reported by the Fox News, local police have concluded that the explosion was not carried out as part of any larger plot and further no connection with any extremist group has been established. Some media reports have indicated that Krajnyak had recently been through a hard relationship breakup. The couple filed paperwork in January asking for dismissal of the case, and it was officially closed on Monday.

Krajnyak lived in the Orange County community of Coto de Caza.

Krajnyak won a judgment against Barney in November 2010, but was still working to collect a total $23,034 from him as recently as January of this year, records show.

Krajnyak moved to have the tenant, Gary Barney, evicted from the property in 2010, claiming he owed $8,800 in back rent. The additional money included expenses and interest.
