Sorry, Obi-Wan Kenobi fans, Lando Calrissian will be the next Star Wars spinoff movie.

What Kennedy actually said was Lucasfilm would love to eventually make a Lando spin-off one day, but this is now not a priority. Which, admittedly, aren't many, even with Donald Glover reprising Billy Dee Williams' caped mantle as Lando Calrissian. Sources close to Lucasfilm tell IndieWire that there are no concrete plans for a Lando standalone film at this time but that the studio is eyeing numerous options for the future.

In the new film, the character is portrayed by Donald Glover and, as stills and trailers reveal, he is a slick-talking maverick whose path crosses with titular hero Han Solo.
