Trump Jr. says he doesn't recall much of meeting

The best I can tell, it goes something like this: Don Jr., Paul Manafort, and Jared Kushner all took time out of their busy schedules, while preparing for an unexpected presidential general election campaign, for a meeting at Trump Tower, with agents of Russian Federation, to possibly get valuable information about their opponent, but the meeting was a dud, nothing else important ever happened, their candidate was never told about it, Don Jr., out of embarrassment, lied about all of it, multiple times, and then the candidate helped craft Don Jr.'s explanation for his lies through their loyal aide Hope Hicks, but Don Jr. doesn't remember many of details of the whole ordeal. Also in the room were a group of Russians, some with shadowy ties to the government.

Trump's allies on Capitol Hill can point to testimony from multiple attendees, including Kushner and Goldstone, that people walked out of the meeting feeling like it was a waste of everyone's time.

Here is a breakdown of the testimony about Kushner. When I got there, the person who has since been identified as a Russian attorney was talking about the issue of a ban on U.S. adoptions of Russian children. "I have no idea what this meeting was actually about".

Mr Trump and Mr Putin did not end up meeting because, according to Mr Goldstone, Mr Putin was too busy receiving the new King of Holland. Did he ask any questions or make any comments? "Could we do a call first thing next week when I am back?" He showed up a few minutes late and left a few minutes early to take a phone call.

The transcripts provide a timeline of the days leading up to the meeting as well as misgivings about the appropriateness of a Russian lawyer meeting with a USA presidential campaign.

Members of the panel warn that the Russian threat they are examining is not a historical artifact but a continuing danger.

"I think that Trump thinks he sees some of himself in Putin, this macho facade of being in control".

"I remember him saying specifically, 'You have a very strong leader". I do not remember that he was introduced to me. Moscow denies its interference in the American election campaign.

Modi to visit Russian Federation on May 21 for informal summit
Both the leaders will also exchange their views on their "respective national developmental priorities and bilateral matters". Observers have termed the move significant to boost investments in India.

More than half a year later, walking along NY streets, I browsed news in my phone and saw a picture of that young man in some of the publications and learnt for the first time that it had been Mr. Kushner, a son-in-law of the already incumbent US President.

Goldstone, who had promised Trump Jr. that Veselnitskaya would provide harmful information on Clinton, told the committee he made the offer after being assured Veselnitskaya was "well-connected" and had "damaging material". After small talk about the view from Trump Tower and a recent win in the primaries, the younger Trump got down to business, Akhmetshin said, telling the Russian visitors, "So I believe you have some information for us". And the reason for that is because of the seating. "I've just sat in a meeting about adoption".

Many questions remain to be answered as a result of this inquiry. So, he probably knows them well. He also said he had no memory of the calls with Agalarov, and thought they might have been exchanging voice messages.

Mr Peskov invited Mr Trump to attend the Olympic Winter Games in February 2014 in Sochi "and said he'd be happy to meet him there or at any future time", Mr Goldstone said, an offer Mr Trump did not accept. He says he thinks the only time he responded was to say, "Hey, when (am I) going to receive the next leak"?

When Aras Agalarov wanted Trump to come to Moscow for his birthday party in 2015, Goldstone e-mailed Trump's assistant Rhona Graff with the request.

ANSWER: Here's where my recollection differs with what I read in the media.

When asked by the Judiciary Committee how his statements regarding the meeting evolved, and whether his father in fact drafted the statement, Trump Jr. responded: "I don't know". So, the table went along the perimeter of the room, and on the other side of the table there was Mr. Kushner, who came later.

In part, that's because the existence of the meeting itself - which did not come for more than a year after it took place - was one of the most significant revelations that have been uncovered after the Russian Federation probes got underway. There were some other people also with him. "I am just a Russian lawyer".
