Epic Games may be working on a competitive mode for Fortnite Battle Royale. Epic Games recently launched a new feature that allows players to finally have a ranked mode. The position of the players is also decided based on points gathered over 50 matches. Considering Solo Showdown is only available from today, May 17, until May 21, that doesn't give you all that much time to squeeze in 50 matches. Get out there and prove your skills, get on the ladder, and earn some valuable V-Bucks.

Fortnite publisher Epic Games says that player placements and performances 'will be specially tracked and determine rewards you receive at the end of the event'. It's called "Solo Showdown" and whoever rises through the ranks and comes out on top have massive rewards to look forward to, as well as bragging rights. If you're placed 51 through 100, you'll get 7,500, which will normally set you back $60.

In order to qualify, you'll need to play 50 Solo Showdown matches.
