Baltimore County Police announced on Twitter a 16-year-old male was arrested shortly after the officer was killed.

He tried to flee in the Jeep when he saw Caprio arrive on the block, but she followed him and ordered him out of the vehicle, the statement said.

Officer Amy Caprio was wearing a body camera and the footage is now being reviewed by Baltimore County Police.

Caprio's family scheduled a viewing Thursday, and a service and funeral Friday.

A medical examiner determined that she died of trauma to the head and torso, according to Sheridan. Sheridan says she was not found to have a gunshot wound. No word yet on what the other three teens have been charged with, or if they will also be charged as adults.

The ankle bracelet Harris was wearing Monday simply indicated whether he was inside or outside his home - it did not track his whereabouts, Shellenberger, the prosecutor, said.

Caprio, who would have been on the force four years in July, was smart, athletic and energetic, just the type of officer you want to hire, Sheridan said.

Police say Matthews and Ward admitted to committing the burglary. He says it clearly shows Harris accelerating a stolen Jeep at Caprio after she was trying to apprehend him on the suburban cul-de-sac where a burglary had just taken place.

Harris also told the detective that he "drove at the officer", the statement said.

Harris has been charged as an adult, with first degree murder in the death of Caprio, who was killed when she confronted a group of teens in a jeep, which had been described as a "suspicious vehicle" in the Perry Hall neighborhood.

Witnesses reported hearing a pop and seeing the officer run over by a Jeep Monday afternoon.

According to probable cause statements obtained Wednesday, Harris identified Ward, Matthews and Genius as the three subjects responsible for the burglary.

A manhunt was under way on Tuesday by heavily armed Maryland police officers with dogs for three people suspected of killing a police officer during a suspected burglary, officials said. The department did not say whether the three played any role in the officer's death.

She was responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle when she found Harris at the wheel of the auto. Reporters made calls and knocked on doors of several homes in Baltimore listed in court documents, but there was no response.

Police say Harris was arrested near the location where the jeep was abandoned.

Scott D. Shellenberger, the State's Attorney for Baltimore County, said the body camera video will help prosecute the case. He said he hopes to prosecute them on charges of felony murder, even though they were not in the auto when the officer was run over.

After hearing about Dawnta Anthony Harris' numerous recent run-ins with the law, a judge called him a "one-man crime wave" and ordered the teen held without bail.

Friends have since paid tribute to Caprio as a loving wife, friend and relative.

Police backed by aircraft and trained dogs scoured a greater Baltimore suburb into the early hours Tuesday, seeking suspects believed armed and risky after the death of a female officer. "And then I get a call... the officer stops by at work and is like 'Tim come to the hospital right away'". The Associated Press does not ordinarily identify underage suspects unless they face adult charges.

Brown said Harris was boxed in by the officer's auto.

Volunteer firefighter Logan Kurek says he ran outside and performed CPR on the officer until paramedics arrived, and says her injuries were consistent with being run over by a vehicle.

Kurek's neighbor, Dahle Amendt, said he had just settled into his recliner for a rest when he heard a woman's voice outside his house in the leafy neighborhood of single-family homes.
