In an interview with Angie Martinez earlier this week, Pusha explained how Kanye called him late Tuesday night and requested that he change the album cover.

Licensing the image cost $85,000, a fee Pusha didn't want to pay, so Kanye paid for it instead.

'1 a.m., my phone rings, no caller-ID, ' Pusha told Power 105.1 of the call he received from the 40-year-old Gold Digger rapper. "I'm really proud of what we put together". Imma pay for that.' He added that Kanye even picked the photographer who snapped the original album art, but as we've all learned to become familiar with of 'Ye's temparment, he suddenly changed his mind. We picked the pictures. "I'ma pay for that.'" The image, taken in 2006, depicts the late Houston's bathroom in her Atlanta mansion, coated with drugs and drug paraphernalia. Shortly afterwards, Kanye tweeted again about how "proud" he is of the new album, that he spent nearly two years working on in Wyoming. "Well MAGA hats let me slide like a drive through", he rapped. The photo was taken secretly by one of Houston's family members in 2006 and ran in the National Enquirer the same year, as Houston struggled with drug addiction.

The wait is over as Pusha-T has released his highly-anticipated, seven-track album DAYTONA.
