Incognito was granted his release by the Bills earlier this week.

"Law enforcement tells us Incognito was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold to be evaluated", the report says, noting that the hold is different than being placed under arrest.

The police report stated that "investigations revealed that Incognito was suffering an altered, paranoid state and believed ordinary citizens were government officials that were tracking him and recording him".

As O'Brien called authorities, Incognito can be heard in the background of the 911 call yelling at O'Brien and threatening him. According to the report, Incognito threw tennis balls and weights at people.

Brown said that when he told Incognito he was anxious he was going to hurt himself or others, Incognito yelled at a woman in the pool to call the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Brown said that when he approached Incognito, he said he was under contract for the National Security Agency, a top USA spy agency, and that another patron was wearing headphones nearby.

The recently-retired lineman was taken into custody and placed under an involuntary psychiatric evaluation under Florida's Baker Act - which allows a person to be involuntarily committed if they're seen as a danger to themselves or others around them. "I hope he gets help", O'Brien said.

But Incognito, who was involved in a bullying scandal while with the Miami Dolphins in 2014, is not doing himself any favors in regard to finding a new employer.

No gun was found on Incognito, but after he explained to police that he was under contract for the National Security Agency and felt he was being watched by a patron wearing headphones, police took him in for observation.

We've attempted to contact Incognito for comment - but so far, no luck.

Incognito has been on a downward spiral for much of this offseason. He was out of the league for 18 months before the Bills signed him to a one-year contract.

He, however, had a change of heart weeks later when Incognito abruptly fired agent David Dunn in a post on Twitter. The Bills put him on the reserve/retired list, and this week they cut him when Incognito said he wanted to play again.
