Putin says lifting sanctions on Moscow will benefit all

"Please make a distinction between the Russian Government, Russia as a state, Russian citizens and certain legal entities", Putin said, repeating a talking point he has used before. But, he added, "we are not building long-term installations there and if necessary can withdraw our servicemen quite quickly without any material losses".

After hearing a complaint, Putin often turned to one of Russia's scores of state governors who were at the ready in live video feeds.

"Both those who initiate these actions and those such measures that we call sanctions are aimed against find them harmful", Putin said in Vienna on Tuesday, claiming that European countries were merely "finding it hard to say so".

Putin addressed the March 4 nerve agent attack on former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia Skripal in Britain. Both the West and Russian Federation have expelled more than 150 diplomats on each side over that issue.

Putin and his aides say it is an indispensable tool to gauge public sentiment and learn about people's real problems. "They see Russian Federation as a threat".

The project has been highly contentious among European Union member states due to the fact that it skirts Ukraine and Poland en route to the European Union and because of what members see as a unsafe dependence on gas from Russian Federation.

Neither the White House nor the Russian Embassy responded to requests for comment from CNBC.

"In a recent telephone conversation, Donald said he was anxious about the possibility of a new arms race. If we combine it with an earlier joke - that Russian Federation influenced the USA election - all that sounds quite amusing".

No survivors after small plane crashes in Kenya
It was enroute to Nairobi from Kitale on Tuesday and was scheduled to land at 5:20pm, the same time that it went off the radar. Search for the missing FlySax plane is yet to start proper in the Aberdares, almost 20 hours after it was reported missing.

Republican budget on course to soon reach Gov. Cooper
This suggests that despite the similarities, Republicans tend to be performing at least somewhat better. But that was before he made a decision to defy party leaders and President Trump on immigration.

Trent Alexander-Arnold confirmed for England start against Costa Rica
However, Real Madrid's Champions League-winning goalkeeper could only watch in wonderment in the 13th minute as the ball flew in. He added: "I've got an ideal, traditional view where clubs produce all homegrown players that can win trophies.

The call-in conference began at noon, Moscow time.

Some of those questions, which Putin did not attempt to answer, were politically awkward.

In December previous year, Putin made a surprise visit to Russia's Hmeimim airbase in Latakia, Syria where he ordered a partial pullout of the country's troops, saying their mission there was mainly completed.

On Thursday, he said Russia's gross domestic product is now 1.5 percent higher than a year ago. "Yes, this growth is modest, small, but it is also not a fall".

Putin also said Russian forces would stay in Syria for as long as it was in Russia's interest.

Putin's statement on Thursday came almost two months after Russian authorities began blocking Telegram, a Russia-developed messaging app, over its refusal to share encryption data with intelligence agencies. That resulted in temporary blockage of some other websites.

He said Russian Federation "is not planning to withdraw all of its troops at this point" and that they will stay in Syria "as long as it benefits Russian Federation".

Russian President also said Russia's 12 World Cup stadiums must be financially self-sustaining, following calls from some officials for government subsidies.
