Palestinians celebrate as Israel denied chance to host Messi

Demonstrators began burning tyres and flying kites over the border with the aim of setting fire to farmland inside Israel.

Medics reported over 386 people were injured when Israeli troops fired tear gas and live ammunition into the protesters as tensions continue to rise.

"Western countries, particularly Americans and Zionists, have been trying for years to use threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran as a means to impose their will on the Iranian people, but they basically are not able to carry out their threats against the Iranian people, and the main reason for their inability is the might of [the] nation and armed forces to respond to any possible aggression", Jawani claimed. More than 120 Palestinians have been killed so far.

Israeli troops fired live rounds and tear gas as thousands of Palestinians protested near the Gaza border fence Friday, and at least four demonstrators were killed, including a teenage boy, with over 600 wounded, Gaza health officials said.

At the same time, Israel has faced fierce criticism over its use of lethal force against Palestinian protesters on the Gaza Strip border with the Jewish state.

Haniyyah highlighted the peaceful nature of the protests.

Israel's use of potentially lethal force against the protesters has drawn worldwide criticism.

On Thursday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called for the Muslim masses to take to the streets and protest the "tyrants" in honor of Quds Day.
