According to media reports, Kane's new deal now sees him earning as much as £200,000 a week including further bonuses, which nearly doubles his previous deal.

He is now committed to the club for an extra two seasons and likely received a significant pay rise. Money has never seemed to be his primary motivation.

At first, he was an alternative to Antoine Griezmann, but everything suggested the club's interest doesn't necessarily depend on the arrival of the France forward.

One of those record attempts would be ended if Kane left North London, and both would be scuppered if he moved overseas.
