After a close battle in game 3 of the 2018 NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cavs by a score of 110-102.

James, who was playing in his eighth consecutive NBA Finals and fourth straight with the Cavs, has carried the team since he returned in 2014 but would likely need to see some key additions to keep him with his hometown team.

"The one thing that I've always done in consider my family, understanding where my boys are at this age", James said in regard to his 13-year-old and 10-year-old sons.

It was the first sweep in the NBA Finals since 2007, when James was dismissed by a powerful San Antonio team in his first one.

However, former National Basketball Association star Charles Barkley clearly dismissed the idea that the Cavs star could be compared to Chicago Bulls great Michael Jordan.

"I mean, for me, I still have so much to give to the game".

Wherever he moves, the fans and detractors will no doubt follow. The Bay area team did it in convincing fashion, leading by as many as 21 points at the end of the third quarter, then toying with the Cavaliers the rest of the game, silencing the home crowd.

Cavaliers superstar LeBron James (L) once again finds himself squaring off with pesky Pacer Lance Stephenson.

And this Golden State run isn't ending any time soon.

"But I thought we did a good job of staying the course and getting to this point".
