'Sea of Solitude' (ALL) Coming in 2019 - Screens & Trailer

During today's EA Play conference, Electronic Arts revealed a new trailer for its next EA Origins title, Sea of Solitude. Previous EA Originals titles include Fe by Zoink Games and A Way Out from Hazelight.

Gameplay-wise, there's quite a bit we don't know about Sea of Solitude.

The title is now in development by Berlin team Jo-Mei. Revealed at EA Play, EA's pre-E3 2018 event, the game deals with loneliness and the struggles associated with it.

In a flooded world where humans turn to monsters if they become too lonely, just such a fate has befallen a young woman named Kay.

The game will be about loneliness, a theme that is close to its developer. That's what happened to Kay.

Sea of Solitude seems to follow Limbo and Inside-esque storytelling and follows its female protagonist, Kay, through the darkest parts of her life.

Sea of Solitude launches in early 2019.

EA's Originals program has certainly proven to be something of a mixed bag so far.

This game has a unique underlying concept which no other indie game has had and that's its connectivity and relatability to our own reality. Now only monsters can change her back.
