On Saturday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had a fallout with Trump when he held a press conference after the latter departed Quebec to attend the North Korea summit in Singapore.

Tweeted Trump in a series of tweets starting last night: "Please tell Prime Minister Trudeau and President Macron that they are charging the USA massive tariffs and create non-monetary barriers".

Kudlow doubled down on blaming Trudeau in an appearance on CBS' "Face the Nation" later Sunday morning when he said the prime minister "picked a fight" and left Trump no choice but to pull out of the group's communique.

While at the Summit in Quebec, Canada, Trump blasted the foreign leaders who were there with him as they jointly were supposed to come up with new solutions and possibilities for trade. The president responded on Twitter, while en route to Singapore calling Trudeau, "Very dishonest and weak".

"We have a tremendous trade imbalance", Trump said during Saturday's press conference.

"This weekend, certainly if you care about America's place in the world, had to be one of the most concerning, certainly, and I'll just say the most depressing, in Donald Trump's year-and-a-half in office", Scarborough said on "Morning Joe" while introducing James Stavridis, chief global security and diplomacy analyst for NBC News and MSNBC.

The trade spat has dominated the meeting, with Canada and European leaders threatening retaliatory action in response to USA tariffs on steel and aluminum.

The government cease-fire will begin on June 12 and last through Eid al-Fitr holiday, June 19, not including al Qaida or ISIS. The Taliban said "foreign occupiers are the exception" to the order sent to its fighters around the country.

Trump also repeated an earlier proposal that US trading partners should drop all trade barriers, including tariffs and subsidies to industries and producers in their own countries. "We make commitments and keep to them", a statement from the French presidency quoted by AFP news agency said.

"For Canadians who ... stood shoulder to shoulder with American soldiers in far-off lands and conflicts from the First World War onward.it's kind of insulting", Trudeau said.

"He made an error", Kudlow said on CNN's "State of the Union".

In a pair of tweets, Trump lashed out at his G-7 host, accusing its leader of being dishonest and weak and contending that Canada had taken advantage of US interests.

The calamitous summit ended in disarray after Trump broadsided his allies by disavowing a joint statement the USA had agreed to. He said USA representatives will examine the tariffs on automobiles coming into the country and bemoaned the Canadian tariffs that affect American companies and farmers.

But Mr. Trudeau also said it was "kind of insulting" the US had imposed tariffs on steel and aluminum under the guise of national security, noting Canadians stood "shoulder to shoulder" with Americans in overseas wars.

"There's a special place in hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump".
