Tyson Fury recorded victory on his comeback to boxing

In what will certainly go down as his softest fight on this comeback trail, Tyson Fury nevertheless got his boxing career back on track tonight with a straight-forward defeat of Sefer Seferi.

Sefer Seferi was the first fighter in nearly three years to share the ring with the returning Fury but the Albanian heavyweight quit on his stool after four rounds of action which left the Manchester Arena largely unsatisfied on Saturday night.

Fury has been training at former world champion Hatton's Manchester gym ahead of his showdown with Albanian Seferi and Hatton admitted even he had been left surprised by the 6ft 9ins giant's newly rediscovered ambition.

"The opponent was quite short, which meant he was light and quick".

"He took me a few rounds so I'm happy with it". I fell out of love with the game but now the love is thriving, we are back on fire for one another.

The 29-year-old is adamant his evident success in shaping up for a ring return will increase his popularity levels and, more importantly, serve as an inspiration for others who may be going through similar health issues. I don't ever remember feeling any better than I do now. I got four rounds in and TV exposure.

"He took a couple of hard punches and he told his corner not to send him out for round five". I think you can come back good but I'm a bit iffy on whether he will be the same Tyson Fury as before. "I´ll take my career very seriously this time and enjoy every moment".

With a height advantage of 10 inches and weighing almost five stone heavier than the Albanian, Fury's camp are hopeful that they will find a taller and heavier opponent for his Belfast bout.

Fury, a former WBA, WBO and IBF Heavyweight World Champion, will return for the first time in 31 months in the SHOWTIME BOXING INTERNATIONAL® social media offering, which begins live at 4:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT on the SHOWTIME Boxing Facebook page and SHOWTIME Sports YouTube Channel.

After such a long hiatus and battles with drink, drugs and depression, we asked fellow undefeated heavyweight Nick Webb, 30 from Chertsey, for his unique and insightful view on the second coming of Tyson Fury.

Fury has been kept out of the ring since since November 2015 for multiple reasons.

Warren plans to keep Fury busy but has no idea yet who he will face in his next fight at Windsor Park in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on August 18.

"Tyson will step up each time", Warren said at a press conference.
