That was being drawn up on Tuesday and will be in front of Wilder by Friday at the latest and his response, having evidently agreed all terms, will determine if he is Joshua's next opponent, or if the Brit fights him next spring once Povetkin has been faced.

Finkel, who said he and Wilder co-manager Al Haymon talk daily and are on the same page, said the offer Wilder accepted is a two-fight deal with terms agreed to for a rematch that would take place in the United States.

According to Pugmire, Wilder's and Joshua's respective teams were quibbling over the location of the fight, with Wilder's camp wanting it in the US and Joshua's side preferring the UK.

'We have accepted the offer from Team Joshua and look forward to coming over to fight again (last time was Audley Harrison) in front of the great United Kingdom fans, Deas told World Boxing News.

Hearn has said that he is also close to a deal with Povetkin (34-1, 24 KOs), 38, of Russia, Joshua could fight both this year, and they were trying to figure out which order to do the fights, though Povetkin would be a risky fight before taking on Wilder for far more money.

So the heavyweight division appears to be getting its biggest fight.

'We will wait and see what happens when we get the contract back.

"Our original plan and hope was to do it in the middle of September, but obviously this "Canelo" fight on September 15 makes it a little more hard with US TV and the fact that we've lost four weeks in waiting for an answer from Deontay Wilder, makes the fight happening in 11 or 12 weeks of this magnitude unlikely". AJ would want Wembley for a fight of this magnitude but if we do October or November you can't really do that outdoors. We've got to speak to them about what date suits them.

"We've got to get to the bottom of it all today. It's up to them to choose".

Wilder has won an incredible 39 fights on his unblemished 40-victory record by knockout and has defended the WBC title seven times in a row since winning it three years ago.

Anthony Joshua holds numerous world titles.

Another possible outlet is the Perform Group's DAZN sports streaming service, which is due to launch in the USA later this summer, with Hearn's recently agreed to eight-year, $1 billion deal to provide boxing content due to begin in September. I think from Deontay Wilder's messages on social media, he seems fine with that.
