Kyrie Irving not considering contract extension with Celtics

Boston Celtics star Kyrie Irving is one of the best point guards in the National Basketball Association.

"Well, I mean, I know that question is going to come up a lot over the next year, just based upon where my deal is".

"I think it's only natural to think about [if Irving was still here]".

The Boston Celtics despite not having the services of their two All-Stars Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward were able to push a win away from reaching the NBA Finals for the first time in eight years. But I think you guys can feel my attitude is really just redemption next year - really integrating myself with our team again and really focus on winning a championship.

Although he was disappointed he wasn't able to contribute during the playoffs, Irving said the team playing well without him was "only beneficial".

Kyrie Irving remains non-committal on his future with the Celtics beyond his current contract, which could be up after this upcoming season.

But we can't forget that we're now in the NBA's silly season, and things tend to get blown out of proportion this time of the year.

AT&T and Time Warner win legal battle, confirming the merger
In after-market trading following the ruling, shares of Time Warner rose almost 5 percent and AT&T shares fell 1.6 percent. Fox shares rose 5.2% in after-hours trading Tuesday, while Comcast fell as much as 4% and Disney dropped as much as 2%.

Halo Infinite: Release date, gameplay, and everything you need to know
No other details were given, apart from Spencer saying it would be "Master Chief's greatest adventure yet". Gears of War 4 was a reboot of the series, covering events set 25 years after the original games.

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are already engaged
The couple were first rumoured to be dating in mid-May , shortley after Ariana ended her "toxic" relationship with Mac Miller . Grande is preparing to release her new album Sweetener in August, while Davidson stars on SNL .

Irving was here today essentially to promote his movie, "Uncle Drew", - "I'm excited for everyone to see it, you know, June 29th" - but the more interesting topics were the future, both immediate and long term. He is notoriously ambiguous and non-committal when talking with reporters, whether they're asking about his reasons for wanting out of Cleveland or his flat earth theories.

After weeks of being "an outsider looking in", Irving said he's planning on dedicating this offseason to his craft and is taking everything one day at a time to ensure he will be ready for the start of training camp.

Regardless of what the reaction from the local crowd would be, James coming to Boston is far-fetched but is not out of the realm of possibility.

As for the effect of those conversations with Danny Ainge and the front office, Irving said, "It puts things at ease". Is he worth a max deal that will pay him $200 million over five seasons?

Media reports that the Celtics are one of the teams his former teammate Mr. James will consider sparked the obvious question about, after getting himself out of Cleveland last summer, Irving would be open to that.

There has been some recent chatter that Irving may want to leave Boston after next season, so these comments certainly won't alleviate the concerns of Celtics fans.
