Maruti Suzuki Jimny is an example of it.

Now we're in the presence of the fourth-generation Jimny, all new from the ground up and more mature than ever before.

As far as the engines are concerned, word on the street is that the Japanese specification of the model will receive a tiny 660cc engine and a bigger 1.5-liter motor. The bumper-integrated tail lamps is an ode to the classic SUVs while dual-tone exterior colour options add much needed contemporary touch. Further, It is predicted that Jimny won't be available in diesel version in the worldwide market, the Indian might get the same with 1.3 ddis diesel. The list of other goodies includes air conditioning, cruise control, push-button start, a multi-function steering wheel, and autonomous emergency braking. There won't be any diesel engine on offer with the 2018 Jimny.

While it's still not clear that the Jimny will come to India, we think if priced right, the Jimny will make for a fantastic compact SUV that will find a lot of buyers who want a small yet capable vehicle.

Under the bonnet, it is expected to be powered by either the 1.2-litre four-cylinder and/or 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder from the Swift small vehicle range, with either a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox options.

From my position, I couldn't see it really well, I thought at first it was no penalty. Predictions of video review ruining the World Cup were vastly overstated.

Another bone of contention between the two is price.

The new Jimny keeps the SUV's gritty, square styling.

The new Jimny will finally replace the 20-years old current model, which is also sold under the Mazda AZ and Chevrolet Jimny names in some markets.

Though the auto has been revamped in the different ways to attract the audience, but will people welcome Jimny as the next version of Gypsy or will it be able to replicate the success created by its predecessor, is yet to be seen.
