In celebration of an impressive milestone, PUBG Corp.is slashing the price of its mega-hit battle royale shooter by 33%.

Alongside Sanhok's PC pass, PUBG is adding in a Fortnite-style battle pass, created to be the main way players unlock new content themed around the new map.

To celebrate the occasion, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is on sale for $19.99 on Steam, where it is regularly priced at $29.99.

When Sanhok goes live on June 22, it will also come with a brand new weapon.

PUBG's update 15 should be made available on PC some time within the next few days, just in time for the launch of Sanhok on Friday, June 22. If you want to grab PUBG while it's on discount - it's now going for RM50.24 instead of RM74.99 - you can do so here.

The Event Pass lasts for four weeks, and will have daily objectives, weekly objectives and Sanhok specific objectives as an incentive for playing in Sanhok. If you haven't paid for the pass, you can temporarily unlock numerous items (and earn one special item permanently).

Due to the smaller map size, item spawn rates are tweaked in order to help players get equipped and into combat faster. If you're hesitant about buying the Pass, but want to play the missions, you're free to do that. There are missions players can complete - which will then unlock cosmetic items - you can level up your pass, and even "free players" can get certain items too.
