Sadio Mane opened the scoring in Senegal's 2-2 draw with Japan at the World Cup on Sunday.

In a game of goalkeeping errors, Senegal took an early lead when Eiji Kawashima turned Youssouf Sabaly's shot into the body of Sadio Mane for a goal he knew little about after 11 minutes.

Just five or so minutes later Senegal looked as though they may have done enough to claim three points when 19-year-old right back Moussa Wague turned in at the far post following good work from Senegal on the left flank for his first ever worldwide strike but late substitute Keisuke Honda broke Senegalese hearts with an equalizer on 78 minutes.

The Africans' lead did not last long, though, with Japan equalising for the second time when a goalmouth scramble inside the box saw the loose ball fall to Keisuke Honda, who passed the ball into the back of the net from close range, 2-2.
