Now, in some small way, it's all worked out because Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are married!

The couple, who play hero Jon Snow and "wildling" Ygitte, travelled two miles from Wardhill Castle to Rayne Church, in Kirton of Rayne, for the service conducted by Benedictine monk father Chad Boutlon.

Speaking outside the castle on Saturday, Sebastian Leslie said: "We are absolutely thrilled for Kit and Rose to be marrying today". The stunning bride wore a long-sleeved dress with a pretty lace veil, while her handsome groom looked traditional in a three piece suit. Leslie was born to a noble family in Scotland and was raised at Lickleyhead Castle, her family's 15th century ancestral seat.

The local councillor added: "It's an absolutely lovely day for us".

The couple - who played on-screen lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte - met on the fantasy show in 2012.

On Friday, florists, caterers, and family members descended on the castle location to prepare for the big day and GOT cast members started to land at Aberdeen Airport.
