Sarah Sanders: Restaurant kicked me out because of Trump

The White House Press Secretary says she was kicked out of a restaurant because she works for President Donald Trump.

On Friday, a Facebook user claiming to be a waiter at The Red Hen in Lexington, Virginia - around 70 miles southwest of Charlottesville - said he served Sanders "for a total of 2 minutes" before she and her party were asked to leave.

Sanders reported the incident in a Saturday (local time) tweet, saying the owner's actions "say far more about her than they do about me".

Sanders' father, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, reacted by quipping that "bigotry" was "on the menu" at the restaurant shortly after posting a tweet conflating migrant families with MS-13 gang members.

In an act of solidarity, scorned conservatives flocked to the Red Hen's Yelp page to leave scathing reviews. Then, the owner asked the table to leave. Overall, the situation further illustrates the growing divide between the political parties in the United States as well as the extreme dislike many Americans feel for the Trump Administration.

Belgium romp past Tunisia with Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku doubles
After starting slow in a 3-0 win over Panama, Belgium got off to an incredibly fast start, scoring three times in the first half. Belgium have closed in on a spot in the last 16 with a magnificent 5-2 win over Tunisia in their Group G encounter in Moscow.

Wilkinson told the Post she's "not a huge fan of confrontation", but that when she asked Sanders to leave, the interaction was polite on both sides.

One negative review of the restaurant online read: "I was dining at the Red Hen and witnessed them rudely refuse service to Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Shame!" and it came as the Trump administration defended its hardline immigration policy at the U.S. -Mexico border.

Another poster drew a comparison between the Red Hen owner's actions and the recent Supreme Court decision that a Colorado baker shouldn't be forced to make cakes for same-sex weddings he disapproves of on religious grounds.

"Cant wait to visit this establishment when I pass thru in July. Stand tall, there are more of us than there are of them". "This used to be against the law, but we all know who changed that and what's good for the goose... well, you know the rest".

"Secretary Nielsen, how dare you spend your evening here eating dinner as you're complicit in the separation and deportation of over 10,000 children separated from their parents", one protester yelled.
