There is also a rumoured 6.1-inch LED iPhone, which will reportedly come in gray, white, blue, red, and orange colour schemes.

The Apple news and rumors website 9to5Mac reported that analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted Apple will release two new iPhones this year, one of which has a 6.5-inch screen and the other with a 6.1-inch screen.

Apple has made red iPhones in the past, but they have usually been introduced well into the product cycle and have had Product Red charity branding. The entry-level 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will apparently debut in grey, white, blue, red and orange.

Thanks to a pricing strategy that will cater to a wider audience and bunch of new colors, Kuo expects the 2018 iPhones to do very well in terms of sales and ship 70 million units in Q4 this year.

Kuo believes that the 2018 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus will carry a $999 price tag which is similar to the existing 5.8-inch iPhone X. At the same time, the analyst also predicts a smaller 5.8-inch iPhone X.

The super-sized iPhone X could come in another new color - gold - according to the note shared by 9to5Mac.

This isn't like the Rose Gold color we've seen on some previous Apple handsets though, we would expect it to look more like the iPhone SE's gold shade. So yes, that means we might actually see a consumer release of that gold iPhone X that the FCC posted a photo of back in April. The top tier 6.5-inch iPhone will share those colors as well as the dual camera and will cost $1000.
