With that also comes the post-credits scenes, of which there are two in Ant-Man and the Wasp, sticking with the typical formula of one amusing and one being more serious.

Ant-Man and The Wasp is like that bright sunny day after the months of rain that was the events of Avengers: Infinity War.

By now, you know the drill: Never, ever leave during the end credits of a Marvel movie.

Kimi Raikkonen previews the Silverstone Grand Prix
There's a great energy within the team so we've passed through the painful experience and actually brought us closer and made us stronger.

It's the first full weekend of the third quarter following a record-setting second quarter, which saw the domestic box office pull in $3.33 billion thanks to blockbuster performances by "Avengers: Infinity War", "Incredibles 2", and "Deadpool 2". This time he is not alone - he has to fight alongside a new superhero, The Wasp. Hank Pym, Evangeline Lilly and Hope van Dyne are on the outside, monitoring him. The art also features scenes left out of the film such as The Collector face to face with Thanos, as well as Thor facing off against the Black Order.

There is, ultimately, a plot reason for those powers - although the only uses them once before her next "fate" is revealed: during an experiment in a mid-credits scene, Hank, Janet, and Hope send Scott into the Quantum Realm to retrieve an energy sample. But with Scott presumably trapped inside the Quantum Realm, it remains to be seen how he will escape. We also learned that spending enough time in the Quantum Realm alters one physiology and can imbue a person with the ability to control-or at least manipulate-quantum particles in people's bodies. Combine that with Janet's warning about the time vortex, and we have to wonder if Scott is gonna be involved in some time-travel shenanigans come Avengers 4.

What it means: Marvel is still pretending that the Thanos deaths are permanent and not something that will definitely get a tidy reversal in time for everyone to return for their regularly scheduled sequels.

Once known primarily as the founding father of Spider-Man, Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four and so many other great Marvel characters, Lee's now considered the undisputed king of cameos.
