England have reached the Fifa World Cup semifinals for the first time in 28 years with a 2-0 victory over Sweden at Russian Federation 2018.

For once it was not Harry Kane who claimed the plaudits as the tournament's top scorer was kept quiet, but England found another hero at the other end of the pitch as Jordan Pickford produced three superb saves to shut out the workmanlike Swedes.

An impressive England advanced to their first World Cup semi-final for 28 years on Saturday after headers by Harry Maguire and Dele Alli gave them a deserved 2-0 last-eight victory over a disappointing Sweden.

Reflecting during his post-match press conference, Andersson told the assembled reporters (via Sky Sports) that he could envisage England going on to win the World Cup.

The bet was gladly accepted by the former Real Madrid and Manchester United midfielder, who changed the terms slightly by proposing that Ibrahimovic would have to "watch an England game at Wembley wearing an England shirt and enjoy fish & chips at half time" if his team loses on Saturday.

"Pickford's distribution was superb and his save with 20 minutes to go was crucial".

Apple Music Has Surpassed Spotify In Paid US Subscribers
According to the source, globally Apple claims 45 million subscribers with 5-10 million additional free trial subscriptions. That steady increase was partly attributed to the number of Apple devices that include Apple Music-specific features.

The surprising run is being fuelled by goals from set pieces, and there was another against Sweden when Maguire headed in a corner in the 30th minute.

Unfortunately, the quarterfinal against a talented, young England side that has a nation beginning to believe proved a bridge too far. "Being both British and Swedish, we were on the edge of our seats during the game and we would like to say 'Grattis!' [congratulations in Swedish] to the England team for getting through to the semi-finals".

In the 58th minute, Dele Alli further dampened Swedish spirits with a thumping header into the net on a cheeky chip pass from Jesse Lingard making it 2-0 for England.

They lacked the resilience displayed in the last-16 defeat of Switzerland, but Andersson said the outcome was through England's excellence more than anything.

"[Ruben] Loftus-Cheek, I know you'll be doing your shape up but listen, look good, feel good, play good". We did create some opportunities at the start of the second half. "I have the greatest respect for them, and congratulations to England".
