Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns put pen to paper on Saturday, as the 21-year-old guard signed a maximum contract extension. He was one of the league's best rookies after the All-Star break last season with averages of 18.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game over that span.

Sometime during Saturday's game against the Phoenix Suns, Bagley tweaked his right hip flexor and groin area. He won the National Basketball Association 3-point shooting contest at All-Star weekend in February.

"I am humbled [and] honored to commit to the Suns organization long term", Booker wrote.

The Suns are banking on Booker to be the player that leads them back to winning ways in the coming years and eventually back into the playoffs.

The insanely hazardous Thai cave rescue has started well
The Thai defence ministry said a team from a Musk firm with drilling and exploration know-how should reach the cave on Sunday. Time is of the essence, though, as heavy monsoons are expected to cause a rise in water levels in the cave.

Manafort Lawyers Seek To Move Trial
Three others - George Papadopoulos, Michael Flynn and Rick Gates - had pleaded guilty and agreed to cooperate with investigators. Manafort has reportedly been jailed since June 15 in the "VIP" section of Virginia's Northern Neck Regional Jail.

"I look at Marvin's all-around game", Kings general manager Vlade Divac told reporters after the draft. He has proved himself to be not just a dependable scorer but an exceptional offensive talent: In March, he became the third-youngest player, behind LeBron James and Kevin Durant, to top 4,000 career points. "This agreement reflects a commitment from both parties to the Phoenix community, the state of Arizona and Suns fans worldwide". Phoenix hasn't strung together a 25-win season since the 2014-15 season, before Booker arrived, and starts the 2018-19 campaign with its fourth coach in as many years.

That may be a bit optimistic, but the team added to its talented core of young players big-time when it selected center Deandre Ayton with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

Booker will be 26, and presumably approaching his prime, when the new contract expires.
