Protests in London against the visit by President Donald Trump must be "peaceful and good-spirited", London mayor Sadiq Khan said on Thursday after the USA leader landed in the British capital.

The demonstrators accused Donald Trump of human rights violations.

Similar protests are planned on Thursday evening outside the U.S. ambassador's home at Regent's Park and in Scotland when Mr Trump visits on Saturday.

On Friday he'll meet Theresa May at the prime minister's country house, Chequers - and he'll meet the Queen at Windsor Castle while protests take place in London.

John Rees of the Stop the War group addressed the protesters, saying of Trump: "He's a wrecking ball for race relations, he's a wrecking ball for prosperity, he's a wrecking ball for women's rights, he's a wrecking ball for any peace and justice in this world and we have to stop him".

"Now, for the benefit of all our people, let us work together to build a more prosperous future".

We're more than used to our best sports-stars and celebrities being picked up as "British" in the English media when they're on the rise, and "Irish" when they're underperforming or in trouble.

Donald Trump says Ireland likes him a lot and agrees with his views on immigration in a clip released from the President's post-Nato summit in Brussels by CNN.

The organisers behind the blimp however, said they were just "poking fun" and "hope Trump sees it".

Tens of thousands of people are expected to protest against Trump's visit in central London on Friday, citing his alleged Islamophobia, controversial policies and "incendiary rhetoric" towards people with disabilities and the LGBTQ community.

Top it off with the introduction of trade policies that have targeted some European industries - even though European nations are longtime friends accustomed to easy trade with the US - and it is not surprising that Trump's itinerary will keep him out of central London on Friday, when large protests are planned.

A brief visit to the newly-relocated US Embassy at Nine Elms in south-west London is also believed to be on the cards. The poll conducted this week said 63 percent found Trump racist, and 74 percent said he was sexist.

21st Century Fox bid for Sky gets government approval
Both Comcast ( CCZ )and Fox see value in Sky as the media companies compete with the likes of Netflix and Amazon in Europe. Of course, there's still time for Comcast to make yet another counteroffer, forcing Disney to increase its bid once more.

Then on Monday, he will be off to Helsinki to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The American president will barely set foot in the capital.

Almost 16,000 people signed a petition to seek Mr Khan's authorisation to fly the Trump balloon during his visit.

Trump will spend Thursday night in London at Winfield House, the official residence of U.S. Ambassador to Britain Robert "Woody" Johnson.

The middle son of the USA president is executive vice-president of the Trump Organisation and oversees the golf resorts.

"It appears that President Trump got the message from the many Londoners who love and admire America and Americans but find his policies and actions the polar opposite of our city's values of inclusion, diversity, and tolerance", mayor Khan said in January.

A SONG about the U.S. president which parodies Donald Where's Your Troosers? has become a viral hit.

The leaders are also expected to discuss Russia, Brexit and the Middle East.

On Saturday he will fly up to Scotland to play golf at one of his resorts and his son Eric landed in the family's "Trump Force One" private jet at Aberdeen, before flying to Helsinki to meet Vladimir Putin on Monday.

She will also enjoy a lavish dinner at Blenheim Palace on Thursday evening, spending just Friday daytime in London while her husband stays out of the capital.

After spending the night at the USA ambassador's official residence in Regent's Park, London, President Trump will join Mrs May at a military base on Friday to observe a joint counter-terrorism exercise involving United Kingdom and U.S. special forces.

Mr Trump's son Eric has arrived in Scotland for a golfing visit to Trump International Golf Links at Menie, Aberdeenshire, and Trump Turnberry, near Girvan, South Ayrshire.
