Joe Root's exclusion from the Twenty20 series decider against India on Sunday will fuel the England test captain's desire to improve going into this week's opening one-day worldwide between the sides, interim head coach Paul Farbrace has said. Subsequently, with the return of Ben Stokes to the squad, he was dropped for the final T20I against India at the County Ground in Bristol.

Laxman also praised the balance of the Indian cricket team, saying that they are good in all three departments of the game.

Showing huge faith in Joe Root, Farbrace said that he has got all the skills and abilities required to be a successful T20I player. Kuldeep Yadav achieved the feat during the first ODI between India and England at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Thursday. Thus, it isn't a regular sight when Root is shown the exit doors.

Root's role in T20 cricket has come under inadvertent scrutiny in recent months, partly as a effect of his huge importance to England's fortunes in the longer formats.

Serena Williams issues defiant statement of intent over Margaret Court record
There were no drawn-out points in the early going, no lengthy baseline exchanges, essentially because Ostapenko wouldn't allow it. The victory over Goerges extended Williams' winning streak at Wimbledon to 20 matches, dating to the start of the 2015 edition.

Croatia stun England in extra time to book first-ever final berth
It's clear to everybody the progress that's been made in terms of the level of performance and togetherness of the group. That felt so good for us here in Russian Federation , and united us more and more, just like it did in our country.

Trade tariffs will harm the world
However, Lighthizer still left some room for potential negotiations with China before the new round of tariffs. As with previous rounds of tariffs, the new list takes special aim at "Made in China 2025" products.

"It is important in low-scoring games on tough wickets, you need people who can manipulate the strike, who can play spin bowling well, and can keep you in tight games". "That's a skill that Joe has - he has the ability to hit boundaries. He might not have the raw power of a Stokes or a (Jonny) Bairstow, but strong cricket shots, even in 20-over cricket will get you your reward". "It's the same for bowlers - it's about wickets and economy rates in T20 cricket". It's the same ground where England had scored historic 481 runs against Australia in the recently concluded five-match ODI series between the oldest cricket rivals.

Furthermore, the England standing coach said Root, could learn a lot while playing under the leadership of Eoin Morgan.

He has played 65 ODI games and scored 2302 runs at a decent average of 38.36 with the best knock of 171 against Pakistan at Trent Bridge. The Men-in-Blue and the English team have faced each other in an ODI series in India a year ago when the hosts were victorious by 2-1.

Yet if the rest of England's batting are going to play Kuldeep as badly as this - and worryingly he has got Root out twice in three balls so far on this tour - then they might have to re-think their decision to leave Hales on the outside.
