As you can see, Avenatti thinks the charges are politically motivated.

Stormy Daniels, the adult film actress who is suing U.S. President Donald Trump over a hush agreement about an affair, was arrested while performing at a strip club in OH, her lawyer said early Thursday.

"They are devoting law enforcement resources to sting operations for this?" He went on to allege it was a politically motivated arrest.

"We are highly confident that in the unlikely event that the district attorney proceeds with charges that she will be found not guilty", Avenatti told The Post.

Police say after observing these interactions, two detectives and one officer approached the stage, at which point Daniels allegedly performed similar acts on them.

"It reeks of desperation", Avenatti tweeted.

She posted bail of about $6000 (A$8100) dollars and was released. "We will vehemently contest all charges". "There has to be higher priorities!", he added.

Avenatti said during the performance, some patrons touched her in a "non-sexual" way.

Mr. Avenatti, an outspoken lawyer who has become a sharp critic of Mr. Trump, saw political machinations behind the arrest.

Daniels made the national spotlight this year due to a legal controversy with President Donald Trump, in which she claims she was coerced to sign a confidentiality contract to prevent her from talking about a former affair during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Dailymail.com reached out to Sirens who refused to comment.

Daniels has been embroiled in a lawsuit with the President since early March, to get out of a non-disclosure agreement relating to an alleged affair she had with him in 2006.

She is trying to free herself from a non-disclosure agreement signed before the election, and suing over a "defamatory" tweet by the U.S. president earlier this year. Trump has said he personally reimbursed Cohen for that payment.
